Most embarrassing...

So a couple of weeks ago we were sitting in a circle talking about our most embarrassing moments from Jr. High. I couldn't help but think more and more about mine and how funny they were (now that is...then I probably thought it was the end of the world!) But I thought that I would list my top five and a brief description so you can either remember them too or laugh in my horrifying moments!

1. Mr Gill telling me, "Miss DeeBer get your greasy head off my board!"
2. Confusing the words ambidextrous and bisexual in my 8th, 9th, and 10th grade math classes
3. Mr. Thomas telling me that I will never learn the Spanish language (oh believe me, I'll show him!)
4. Pat Eldridge asking me when the flood was coming
5. Someone trying to snap my bra and I happen to not be wearing one!

All of these moments make me laugh so hard! Wow Jr. High what more can be said. But I will tell you I'll never forget being a bulldog!

METAS

If you ever went to my apartment in Orem and were in my room you will recognize the picture that is posted. It is my METAS wall. In Portuguese the word META means "goals" or something that you have a desire to accomplish. Usually while I was in school I tried to update them every semester and add to them as the semester went on. Sometimes there were a lot of blue, green, and pink sheets on my wall or sometimes there was just a few. But in all I knew I had I had something I wanted to accomplish during a certain period of time.
So I've started my META wall once again. The good thing about my goals is that they are in Portuguese (or in code) so that no body will really know what I am trying to do. I look at those goals everyday to try and become a better person. Those goals that I have set have a date of when I want to accomplish them by, how I am going to accomplish them, and how the Man upstairs needs to help me out to so that I can become a better person.

So in a month you can all question if I completed them or not...

My very first...

Since I had to start a new blog Sammy's blog was erased, so with my amazing english skills I'm sure I'll be able to come up with just about the same story that he posted. Being out of school for just a short amount of time I expirienced a tons of "firsts" in my life. My first degree, first big purchase, and first job along with first business trip. A lot of times I like to look back on my life and see my other big "first"... like this beautiful picture of my first book I ever read or my first time I lost a tooth.

Firsts can be scary for anyone, but that is why I choose the theme of my blog. Thanks to Marshal Mathers we can take those "first times" and act as though we will never be able to do it again, so you sieze the moment and never let it slip away because sometimes you'll only get one chance.

So here is to "firsts" -- even though they might be hard you never know what can come out of it. Just be yourself, jump in, don't look back and think: HEY WORLD HERE COMES LIZ (but don't say Liz)!
